Schwinn Airdyne – Tips For Exercise Bike Fitness

Look, I’ve ridden the same Schwinn Airdyne bike for years. This is one rugged bike. If there is a classic exercise machine, this must be it. Exercise gadget fads come and go, the Airdyne just keeps going. And, the bad news is, you actually have to ride the thing to get the benefit. Yikes! Here’s how to get going the right way…
Tip 1: What ya gonna do?
Goals. About 3 percent of adults have written goals. They’re the ones who get things done… What do you want to accomplish? A specific weight loss amount? What is it? Write it down… please. Then get going…
Tip 2: Today?
Why not start now? See, your exercise bike is just waiting for you to get going. Any time night or day, hot or cold, right or wrong is just the time to start. All you have to do is just get on and start. No fancy additional equipment required. No more courses. Nothing…
Tip 3: Twenty minutes…
is a great workout length. Any time will help, but there are several reasons why pedaling for twenty minutes is a great plan. If that’s too long, can you set twenty minutes as a goal???
Tip 4: Intervals…
is a fancy way to describe changing the pace a bit. That means push it hard for a little while, then back off for a bit, then repeat. This is easy to accomplish with a programmable bike, but requires a little thought with our Airdyne. Here’s what I do. I push hard until I still can breathe in through my nose, but I want to breathe out through my mouth. So, I’m pushing hard, but I’m not out of breath. Back off until breathing is easier, then repeat.
Tip 5: Don’t stop…
That means do it again tomorrow and the next day too. It’s OK to take breaks, just don’t stop. Regular workout sessions are the key to long-term success. It isn’t how hard you ride or even how long. It’s whether you keep at it.
My Schwinn Airdyne can take lots of abuse. It’s a rugged machine that helps you get a great workout. It only works when I do though. That’s the trick. Get on the thing and ride…

Is My Blood Oxygen Level Normal? Understanding and Managing Blood Oxygen Levels

Blood oxygen levels measure the amount of oxygen circulating in the blood. The normal range for blood oxygen levels on an arterial blood gas (ABG) test is between 75 and 100 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). On a pulse oximeter, a healthy range is typically between 95% and 100%. What Does a Low Blood Oxygen Level Indicate? A blood oxygen level below 60 mm Hg or 95% on a pulse oximeter is considered low. Low levels may indicate hypoxemia, a condition where the body struggles to deliver oxygen to its cells, tissues, and organs. Symptoms of low blood oxygen include shortness of breath, dizziness, confusion, and chest pain. How is Blood Oxygen Measured? Blood oxygen levels can be measured using two methods: ABG Test : This involves taking a blood sample from an artery and is very accurate but slightly painful. Pulse Oximetry : A non-invasive method using a small clip on a finger, ear, or toe. It measures blood oxygen indirectly by light absorption through a person’s pulse. However, results c...
